ON THE INTEGRAL APPROACH TO CAUCHY'S MEAN ROTATION

This paper presents an integral approch and an analytical expression for computation of Cauchy's mean rotation as a local measure of mean ratation,and answers a difficult question of Truesdell and Toupin's Classical work.
