Based on the reference [1] , using Hankel integral transform, a rigorous theory of the scattering of elastic waves by multiple non-coplanar penny-shaped cracks in a layered medium is presented in this paper. From the obtained results, it is shown that the problem is astonishingly similar in form to the case of Griffith cracks [1] , but there exts inherent differences between the two cases.
