NUMERICAL MODELING OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL TURBULENT RECIRCULATING GAS-PARTICLE FLOWS IN A COMBUSTOR OF CO-FLOW JETS WITH LARGE VELOCITY DIFFERENCE

  • The three-dimensional turbulent recirculating gas-particle flows in a combus-tor of co-flow jets with large velocity difference are simulated by the multi-fluid model and k-8 turbulence model. Predicted results of gas velocity, particle velocity and particle mass flux distributions are in qualitative agreement with experiments, and reveal the machanism of flame stabilization and combustion intensification in such combustors.
