流动稳定性理论中空间模式不稳定波能量方程中的一个问题

ON THE ENERGY EQUATION FOR A SPATIALLY DEVELOPING INSTABILITY WAVE IN THE THEORY OF HYDRODYNAMIC STABILITY

  • 摘要: 文中指出在有关流动稳定性的文献中,对空间模式问题所用的能量方程有一个小的,但却是很重要的错误。

     

    Abstract: In the literatures of theory of hydrodynamic stability, energy equation is often being used. However, the energy equation for a spatial mode problem was always simplified by neglecting a term representing the work done by the pressure. In this article, it was. shown by numerical examples that such a treatment is in general unjustified.
