Abstract
In this paper, the turbulent forces imposing on a rotor partilly filled with a liquid are discussed when the rotor is subjected to lateral excitation. First, we verify that the turbulent flow is irrotational in the rotating coordinate system fixed with the rotor and then the whole flow is resolved into the stable flow with constant vorticity and the irrotational turbulent flow in analysis.
