REVIEW OF MULTI-BODY SEPARATION STRATEGIES AND CONTROL METHODS FOR HYPERSONIC VEHICLES

  • The multi-body separation process of hypersonic vehicles faces multiple challenges, including complex flow-field interference, aerodynamic model deviations, and uncertainties in initial conditions. As such, separation strategies and control methods are among the key technologies for ensuring the safe separation of hypersonic multi-body vehicles. This paper reviews the current status and advances in separation strategies and control methods for hypersonic vehicles, analyzes the characteristics of existing multi-body separation control approaches, and systematically clarifies the key challenges in this field. First, by establishing a control model of the hypersonic vehicle, the differences between the dynamic model during multi-body separation and that of a single vehicle are analyzed and discussed. Then, based on current research on aerodynamic interference during the separation of hypersonic vehicles, the shock wave interference phenomena in the multi-body separation process and the main factors influencing the control equations are reviewed. On this basis, the existing separation strategies and control methods for multi-body vehicles are further summarized. From the technical focus of various separation strategies and control methods, a comparative analysis is conducted regarding their core principles and application characteristics. Finally, the development trends in hypersonic vehicle multi-body separation strategies and control research are summarized, and future directions for control methods are outlined.
