薄膜润滑中的微极流体效应

Micropolar effects in thin film lubrication

  • 摘要: 利用考虑微结构与微旋效应的微极流体理论来研究薄膜润滑的特性. 微极效应将引起等效黏度的增加,从而影响油膜厚度. 它对压力分布和膜厚形状的影响很小. 数值模拟结果表明,等效黏度的增加效应与实验值有很好的类似性.

     

    Abstract: Thin film lubrication (TFL) has been a research hot spotin recent years, which leaves many black areas to tribologists. Themicropolar theory for fluids is adopted to account for the microstructureand microrotation in TFL. Simulation results reveal that micro-polarity willgive rise to an increase in effective viscosity. Micro-polarity has littleeffect on the pressure profile and film shape, but has an influence on thefilm thickness in TFL. The effective viscosity grown with micro-polarity isin very close to that of experimental results presented in a preceding work.The present work will shed some light into the mechanism of TFL.
